Youth Mentoring

One-to-one support from experienced Club Mentors for young people facing challenges at home, in school or in the community, helping them build confidence and positive futures.

At Frenford, our mentoring programme is designed to provide young people with consistent, trusted support from relatable role models. We match participants with trained volunteer mentors who help them navigate challenges, build confidence, and work towards their goals.

The programme is open to young people aged 10–21 who would benefit from additional guidance. Referrals come from our own staff, schools, parents, or community partners. Whether a young person is struggling with self-esteem, school engagement, family pressures, or simply needs someone to talk to, our mentors offer a safe and confidential space to be heard.

Mentoring sessions take place weekly, with flexibility to suit the young person’s needs , from goal-setting and skill-building to simply spending time with others through shared interests. We also offer small group mentoring and themed workshops on topics like mental health, healthy relationships, and future planning.

The impact is clear: mentees report increased confidence, stronger relationships, and better engagement in education or activities.
