FRENFORD FOODBANK
Supporting local families and vulnerable residents across Redbridge with emergency food and essential supplies.
Our Story
Established in March 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Frenford & Mutual Aid Redbridge Foodbank was created to support local families facing crisis and hardship.
What began in the office of MP Sam Tarry quickly grew into a community-wide effort led by volunteers, local residents and partner organisations across Redbridge.
At its peak, the foodbank supported almost 200 households each week, providing essential food and toiletries to hundreds of people across the borough.
Today, the project continues through the dedication of volunteers who collect donations, pack parcels, make welfare calls and deliver support directly to families in need.
