Our Team

Frenford Clubs has a voluntary leadership team which combines expertise in youth work and education with specialist skills covering finance, law,  organisational structure and people. The day to day operations of the club and development of our programmes are managed by our CEO and his management team.

The club has three committees, which link into each other and help to ensure we are meeting the needs of our participants as well as  planning for the future, the committees are:
Youth Committee, Finance Committee, Management Committee.

These committees report to our Board of Trustees.

Alongside our leadership structure, Frenford is powered by a dedicated workforce of more than 150 people. This includes our duty staff, who oversee the building, reception and daily operations of the club, as well as coaches delivering recreational and competitive sport across a wide range of activities.

Our volunteers, youth mentors and support staff also play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where young people can grow in confidence, build relationships and access positive opportunities.

Youth Committee

Frenford’s Youth Committee is a dynamic collective of young people aged 13–21yrs who play an active role in shaping the direction of our work—serving as either Ambassadors or Advisors.

Representing diverse communities across Redbridge, Newham, and Barking & Dagenham, many committee members have grown up within Frenford, bringing valuable lived experience of our programmes and the impact they’ve had. They are well placed to highlight what works and where we can do more.

These young leaders are passionate advocates for their peers, committed to ensuring youth voices are heard at every level of decision-making. Through their involvement, members develop a wide range of skills, including public speaking, networking, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation. Their input not only strengthens Frenford’s work but empowers them to grow as confident, capable changemakers in their communities.
