Counselling

Support from qualified counsellors, providing young people with a safe and confidential space to discuss their wellbeing, mental health and personal challenges.

At Frenford, we understand that mental health is just as important as physical health. That’s why we offer a free, confidential youth counselling service for young people aged 10–21 who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, family issues, identity struggles, and more.

Our qualified counsellors provide one-to-one support in a safe, non-judgemental space, helping young people to explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Sessions are led by the needs of the young person, and we work flexibly to ensure they feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the process.

The service is rooted in early intervention and prevention. Many of the young people we support would not otherwise access counselling. By offering this service within a trusted youth setting, we remove common barriers and make emotional wellbeing more accessible.

Referrals can come from schools, parents and guardians.

Through this service, we aim to ensure that no young person feels alone in facing life’s difficulties.
